  1. if some one is taking omeprazole for long than need to tapper it slowly and add acid reducing food to her diet .i personally suggest fennel and ginger tea 2 times a day and can use antacids like Gaviscon which has no side effects and if some one is not using ppis and has heartburn than only food changes will work..
